Specialist Interest Areas of further Training Trauma: EMDR: PTSD; which tends to be triggered by incidents like car accidents, natural disasters, Tsunamis or Violence; or by small traumas, sometimes from negative childhood experiences which were repeated over time. These can continue to have an unwanted impact on negative beliefs, behaviour, symptoms and relationships.
Anxiety and Depression: I use a wide range of approaches from EMDR, CBT, Hypnosis, Solution Focused and Narrative approaches. These approaches include techniques that can be very helpful in illuminating the triggers for these uncomfortable states and how to feel more in control. This is Confidence building and Empowering.
Self Harm and other negative patterns of behaviour.
Working with Adolescents and Adults with the theme of a Parent that has or had a Mental Health Problem or where there was Domestic Violence. re training with Laurel Parnell and Joanne Morris Smith.
Emotional, Physical and Sexual Abuse traumas. Training with Dr Laurel Parnell Attachment Focused EMDR/ Professor Bessell van der Kolk, Pat Ogden, Allan Shore- Psychiatrist and Psychotherapists and Neurological Researcher.
